McLean, Va. - Hilton Worldwide has announced that it has signed a multi-year management agreement with Inmobiliaria Shine Limitada for the first Hilton Worldwide hotel in Chile and the first Hilton Garden Inn property in South America: Hilton Garden Inn Airport Santiago. Construction of the new Hilton Garden Inn Airport Santiago is expected to begin in February 2010 and completion is scheduled for July 2011.

Hilton Worldwide and Inmobiliaria Shine Limitada have also made a commitment to work together on additional hotel projects in Chile, specifically in Concepcion, Antofagasta and Iquique.

Forming part of the award-winning, mid-priced brand that delivers high quality and value, the Hilton Garden Inn Airport Santiago will be strategically located in ENEA Business Park - an urban development project integrating an array of industries with offices, accommodation, recreational areas, and transportation solutions. Just two miles from the international airport and approximately nine miles from the city’s downtown area, the Hilton Garden Inn Airport Santiago will welcome business and leisure travelers alike to experience Chile’s capital and largest city.

The Hilton Garden Inn Airport Santiago will feature 144 guest rooms, all with the Garden Sleep System® allowing guests to adjust the firmness and softness of the bed, ergonomic Mirra® chair by Herman Miller, LCD high definition flat screen television, easy-to-set alarm clock with MP3 connectivity, a spacious work desk, and a “hospitality center” that features a microwave, mini refrigerator and coffee maker.

For dining options, the hotel will boast a full service restaurant offering freshly prepared breakfast, lunch and dinner, room service, and the 24-hour Pavilion Pantry® shop with a selection of delicious ready made meals, beverages and snacks.

Recreational facilities will include a rooftop sun deck, indoor swimming pool, hydro-massage pool, and a full-service spa with sauna and dressing rooms. The hotel will also offer a complimentary fitness center featuring Precor® cardio and strength training equipment, and Stay Fit Kits® that can be checked out from the hotel front desk and enable guests to do yoga, Pilates and core workouts in the privacy of their guestroom or in the workout facility.

Travelers to the Hilton Garden Inn Airport Santiago will also have access to nearly 4,500 square feet of flexible meeting space, including two ballrooms and six meeting rooms, as well as signature Hilton Garden Inn brand attributes such as complimentary Wi-Fi and a 24-hour business center. The hotel will also provide 24 hour valet parking and an on-site shop.
